As the Christmas period is coming up, shopping centers are already decorating their facilities to create a special atmosphere for winter time. In this case, the largest mall in Copenhagen, which attracts over 20,000 visitors daily, has just opened its Xtraice ice rink and dressed it with Christmas decorations. Furthermore, one of the main reasons given for choosing Xtraice was based on both the environmental and economic benefits which are seen by a reduced usage of electricity.
The artificial ice rink will be in Copenhagen until the end of the year. However it could stay longer, well into 2014.
