XTRAICE SYNTHETIC ICE PANELS

All of Xtraice’s synthetic skating floor tiles are self-lubricated. Gone are the days when slippery liquid was needed to lubricate the artificial ice surface to be able to glide across it.

For this reason, and thanks to the efforts of our R&D department as well as advances in nanomaterials, Xtraice’s skating rink flooring has the best gliding level ever achieved. Our secret is a protector and lubricant that has been specially designed in Xtraice Laboratories. The lubricant is housed within the structure of our ice tiles when they are manufactured and it gradually comes to the surface throughout the product’s lifespan. This means the surface always maintains the optimal gliding level.

Additionally, all of our synthetic ice panels are identified with a unique serial number which certifies their origin and quality.

ICE SKATES

To skate on our ice panels, you can use any type of ice skate. Nevertheless, at Xtraice, we manufacture our own skates, specially designed to be used on our surface. The blade on our skates mean the blades stay sharp 50 times longer.

At Xtraice, we have also designed our own skate sharpening machine. Thanks to its powerful motor and the ability to sharpen two skates at the same time, sharpening each pair of skates is 10 times faster.

BUILDING A SKATING RINK

The connection system in our rinks is strong, seamless and unnoticeable. Thanks to our tongue-and-groove joint system with high-precision manufacturing using a numerical control process, the joints between Xtraice panels are 100% indiscernible.

This makes the ice rink installation a truly easy task. You simply have to assemble the panels and fasten them with our synthetic ice plugs, made from the same material as the panels. A 100% DIY rink!
